Galileo was a a NASA/JPL robotic space craft that studied the planet Jupiter and its moons during its 14 year mission. Galileo was launched on 18 October 1989 and ended when it plunged into Jupiter's atmosphere on 21 September 2003.

 

Galileo's bipropellant propulsion module was supplied by MBB, Germany and comprised twelve 10N (2.25 lb f) thrusters and a single 400N (90lb f) engine.
